Please help us increase our ability to offer assistance to animals in dire need, by participating this GAgives on Giving Tuesday! Every contribution to our organization, no matter how great or small, monetary or in-kind, helps us provide support to homeless animals in Cobb County. With help from people like you, we can give these animals a second chance at life through our no-kill shelter. These can include animals who are shy, those who aren’t the prettiest, older animals, FIV or FeLV positive cats and the sick or injured who need expensive veterinary care. We aim to help the difficult cases, the ones who are often left behind. We go a step beyond just pulling, though. We consider this a critical part of our mission and always strive to answer the call when it comes. Our pull program is literally a matter of life and death and we do what we can to provide a sanctuary for those whose lives would otherwise be at risk. We do our best to council and provide resources that may enable owners to keep their pets out of shelters.Īs difficult as this past year has been, we have continued to save lives by pulling vulnerable animals from our county kill shelter. A vast majority of contact is from those who are asking to surrender their pets. Like shelters and rescues everywhere, we are chronically full and are being overwhelmed by the numbers. Over the past year, cats, dogs and various other pets have been abandoned or surrendered at an unprecedented rate. With 2022 coming to a close, pet overpopulation in Georgia is in an alarming state.
